ABSTRACT: The effects of early childhood education on family financial planning are significant for fostering financial literacy from a young age. This study aimed to assess how early childhood education programs influence family financial planning practices. The objectives were to (1) evaluate improvements in parents' financial literacy, (2) assess the role of educational programs in shaping financial planning habits, and (3) examine changes in family budgeting and saving behaviors. A survey design was chosen to systematically collect data from participants. A purposive sample of 100 parents with children aged 3-6 years, attending early childhood education centers, was selected from an education center in Lagos State. Findings revealed significant improvements in parents' financial literacy, positive changes in financial planning habits, and more informed decisions regarding family budgeting and saving. The study recommended integrating financial literacy education into parent-teacher meetings and providing resources to support informed financial planning decisions.
